FSA List published on Friday 1st April!

As of Friday 1st April, the FSA (Food Standards Agency) Is advising that brands NOT on the list do not have a “credible application for authorisation” and should therefore be “removed from sale”.

Novel foods

Novel foods, like CBD food products, must be authorised before they are put on the market to ensure they have been through an independent safety assessment. Applications for authorisation of CBD food products are required as these products are considered a Novel food having no history of consumption before May 1997.

We welcome the publication and hope that this will help to reassure consumers and stockists that there is now a strong element of control that will remove some of the scepticism over CBD.

Whilst this is good news for some there are many brands on websites and shop shelves that are not on the list and should be removed from sale. A new application could take up to 2 years

HEMPLIFE CBD is a safe, natural, vegan-friendly, gluten-free and THC-free CBD product that IS on the FSA list
